Admission Prices

Adults – $25.00

Senior Citizens (ages 65+) – $18.00

Students (with ID) – $18.00

Educators (with ID) – $18.00

Children ages 2–13 – $15.00

Children ages 1 and under – FREE

Special Events and Workshops

From hands-on crafting sessions to enlightening lectures by experts in the field, there's something for everyone to enjoy.we recommend booking your classes in advance to ensure a spot as tickets to classes have limited availability. Food Beverage and pets policy:

We want you to be comfortable and enjoy the space when you are here, we allow outside food and drinks that are NON- Alcoholic. Please be mindful when snacking in the museum, if you have stuff on your hands please wash them before touching items in the space, we ask that if you are eating or feeding a child you use the tables upstairs to avoid stains on our couches. If you make a mess that's ok just let us know so we can assist in the cleanup. Pets are allowed as long as they are properly socialized and good with other animals, since this space is an animal sanctuary and must also be safe for service animals.

Hours of Operation

Walkins are always welcome!

Wednesday: 3pm- 8pm

Thursday to Sunday: 11am- 8pm

Sensory friendly hours are Fridays 11am-3pm

 

The Museum is closed on the following holidays: New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, Easter Sunday, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

 

*The Insect Asylum may close in for private events or bookings please check the Museum’s Instagram (@theinsectasylum) for these rare occasions.

Accessibility

The Insect Asylum is committed to providing a welcoming and inclusive environment for all visitors. Our first floor to the museum is fully accessible to individuals with disabilities, including wheelchair accessible restrooms. The second floor and basement classroom space does require a single flight of stairs, however if you let us know about a class you'd like to take or animals you'd like to meet we will make accommodations to bring things to the first floor for you to enjoy.

Parking & Public Transportaion

Convenient parking is available right in front of the museum on N. Milwaukee Ave. Please note that city parking fees will apply Monday- Saturday and there is regular monitoring of the meters in our area.

We are conveniently located within a 5-7 min walk from both the Belmont blue line as well as the Logan square blue line, for guests with limited mobility we recommend getting off at the logan square blue line and taking a quick ride on the Milwaukee bus heading west for only a few stops.

For those taking the bus the Milwaukee bus has a stop about 15 feet from our entrance with a nice little bench to wait at for after your visit.
